Meet Berit

Hey! Let me introduce myself. My name is Berit, but some people have an amazing nickname for me: Berito. It's a combination of Berit and burrito, which is a tasty dish to eat.

I was born in the beautiful year of 1995, started my kite journey in 2018, and turned my life around in 2023. "Turned around" might be a bit of an exaggeration. But I quit the socially accepted life, gave up a well-paying 9-to-5 job, left a cute apartment five minutes from the beach, and made no plans for the future. The only thing I knew was that I had to say goodbye to that life.

It was a big jump, a scary decision, but an amazing one. In the first few months, I met so many inspiring people who gave me direction and motivation for my future plans. All kiters, all with different levels of experience. So yeah, I think the kite community is amazing.

There are a lot of beautiful people who make your sessions so much better. You share tips and tricks, knowledge, and, of course, have fun on and off the water, cheering each other on as you pursue your goals and get better and better.

So why not create something that has the same feeling, the same vibe? And thus, Berito emerged.

To share my experience, my goals, my progress, and my knowledge, and to get you stoked as well. Sharing the fun of the water with a dash of not taking yourself and life too seriously. And pushing each other on the water, even if we are not in the same location.

Get serious about your dreams, do everything in your power to achieve them, and most of all, have a lot of fun. I hope that my experience and journey will give you the same drive as me!

So here it goes: I’m going to be an insanely good kiter with a directional board in 365 days. On the first of July 2025, I will show you. ;)
